Heading to Cali

We had a good week getting everything together so we could take off to California!

Picture captions for this week :)

We visited Bacon one day this week when he needed a trip outside,
and Camden was not too sure about him at first. But he came around!

Asher sure loves our Kitty and any other animal we come across!

Time to Boo some friends!

Kitty is extra snuggly these days. She's getting older. We love her.

My first macrame. It's fun to make something during a movie instead of scroll.

Lunch outside :)

I hear, "Can I give baby hug?" so often, melts me.

We had a little plant disaster right before our trip.
The boys shoveled a lot of it up, cuties.

We're off!
First time flying all four boys.

We gave ourselves lots of time for the airport but the Denver security line was insaaaane....
ended up not being able to sit together on the flight out,
but gummy bears are all you need.

Made it to Anthon's football game that Friday night!

Cute boy.
The game went to 11pm Colorado time and he was a trooper!

Westin is in love with football right now, it's cute.

Camden fell asleep during the third quarter and it was adorable.
Long day for the little guy.
Also yes, he's sleeping with his eye open. And yes, Michael does that too.

Westin looked at Anthon all week like he was the coolest person ever.
We just love those Cannon kids.

Metro ride for the boys.
The Cannon kids are good sports.

Ella and Anthon had their homecoming dance that night,
and it was so fun to see them with their friends before the dance.

These birria tacos.
I will dream about them. So good.

Layered enchiladas.

Bennett is 6!

 We have a six-year-old Bennett!

My heart was heavy yet full when I gave 5-year-old Bennett one last hug this week. He has a heart of gold. He loves people so much. He tells me about times when people make choices he doesn't like at school and ends with something along the lines of, "But I'm still always gonna be their friend," or "But I'm still going to be always nice to them," and he just loves. He is such a sweet big brother to Asher and currently loves teaching him how to wrestle.... boys. Kindergarten is great for him so far and he loves showing me what he's learning. This is a content, sweet, grateful boy and we love him with all our hearts. Six sounds so big.

Pictures for the rest of the week, pretty routine days!

Happy Birthday, Benny Boy!! He loved taking little birthday cakes in to all his friends at school.

I looked over while I was playing catch with Westy boy and saw the cutest little smiling boy just staring at me. He melts my heart multiple times a day, and this swing set is his happy place.

New hobby! I just really like making things that no child can make a mess of or eat up in 5 minutes.
So I decided to start some little macrame projects while we watch a show so that I can do something besides half look at my phone. I really like it so far! It's easier to jump in and out of than my cross stitching, which I haven't picked back up since moving... it's just too much to have out with a baby around.

Westin teaching me all about football.
Many have tried and I just have never had enough interest for it to stick.
But when it's my cute oldest teaching me and loving to watch it, I'm seeing football in a whole new light this fall. He's obsessed.

Kitty loves Michael. Even when it's just his pajamas and he's at work.

Button pumpkins! I bought a cute holiday box from my friend Erik Wilson's wife, her company is really cute. And the boys have loved doing some festive Halloween things together and I've loved having everything I need in one place for all the activities without any research.

I laughed when I cut my pepper open and it was full of Halloween Spirit.

I needed to put together a booth for a Stake RS activity about a way we can serve in our community.
I have learned about ChildSafe from my friend/realtor and really liked putting together these materials for the activity.

Michael took the boys to the nursery's pumpkin contest while I was at the stake activity.
They loved seeing these huge pumpkins. The winner was over 1700 pounds!

Another failed attempt to give blood.
I think I'm done trying.

This cutie hit 11 months this week. How. How how how.

Conference & Celebrating Bennett

Conference weekend in the fall is my faaaavorite.

And I love that it's now combined with celebrating Bennett. I remember sitting on the couch through those sessions of conference when I was 40 weeks pregnant with him, with a c-section scheduled for Monday morning. I remember zero talks. Just the feeling. And it's much better on this side of things :) He's such a joy to raise.

Bennett knew instantly what he wanted for all three birthday meals (which we had on Sunday since he'd be at school all day on his actual birthday), which was cinnamon rolls for breakfast, crepes for lunch, and pizza and salad for dinner, and chocolate molten cake for dessert. If we ate like it was Bennett's birthday every day we would have some problems. But we were here for it for Conference Sunday.

Our week was laid back, with some Halloween decorating that the boys just loved, some walks, some cooler weather, and Bennett got to go camping in a yurt with his dad for his birthday (I need to add those pictures in!) This year we opted to let the boys choose a night away with one parent or a birthday party, hallelujah for the night away choice. Westin and I stayed up watching Harry Potter 3 while they were gone and I let him sleep in Michael's spot which he absolutely loved. He's obsessed with our bed haha. Bennett and Michael saw some moose and had fun being outside in a cool spot together before coming home for conference.

Loves his Kitty.
Learning how to love her in a way that doesn't send her running away to hide.

This one lights up when he sees here, too.

Baby-Kitty interactions require close supervision.

We got some skeleton friends.
The boys wanted to watch a show with them and eat dinner with them before we set them up outside.

Meet Fred and George. And Westin.

We seriously underestimated how much we'd love having a swing set. They're the best!

Sweet Benny boy, such a good brother.

Asher's first "real" ride, closely supervised by Brooklyn.

This girl is such a joy to have around.

When you're just watching conference and your baby bites your toes.
This was so funny, totally unexpected and such a baby thing to do haha.

Serenading.

Conference felt pretty long on Saturday with this crew but I sure love the desire I feel to be closer to Jesus after those calming talks.

Someone found his brother's hat.

Not my best cinnamon roll turn out.
I've been using Kamut flour in place of all my white flour and this has been the only thing I haven't loved the result of, otherwise the substitution has been pretty great.
But I also let them rise too long I think, which made them kind of sink when cooled.
But we still shared them with friends because, a sunken cinnamon roll is still worth eating, amiright.

A walk between sessions to pick out each of our dream homes on Warren Lake.

Camden kept asking to watch this video of Bennett on their one-one-one camping trip and it made him laugh so much for some reason.
