Easter

Michael:
Finished his month in the Emergency Department! That totally flew by. His last shift was Monday, and then the rest of the week he spent studying for his annual OMSITE test. I had so many flashbacks to dental school life and so.much.studying. Residency has its rough parts but I do not miss tests hanging over our house! We invited all of the residents over for a barbecue at our house after the test and it was fun to see the ones that could make it. We had a fire for the kids and hung out in the backyard. These longer days before the heat really comes are so great!

Maddie:
spent Monday by myself at the outlets just south of Fresno to shop for our family's summer stuff. I didn't end up staying long or finding a lot but it was nice to get some things done. We were busy every other day of the week with our weekly routine. If our week goes exactly as planned (which is, you know..., sometimes) then it looks like this:

Monday: Errands that day, FHE & High Fitness that night
Tuesday: Lutheran Church playgroup or Zoo that day, Piano Lessons that night
Wednesday: Library Story Time that day, Piano Lessons & High Fitness that night
Thursday: Playgroup at a park that day, Scripture class that night
Friday: Preschool that day, weekend fun that night

And lately we've had lots of dogs visiting us for spring break, so we've been going on morning and evening walks. Those have been so nice because the weather is just great right now!

Westin:
loved eating a Goldfish cracker every time someone said Jesus Christ during Conference, and he also really loved running around with Hadley and Annie and Winnie at the Ryan's home for Easter dinner. We just love being with them so much and I was feeling extra grateful that they are back here in Fresno with us for another Easter together. We missed them so much during their San Diego time.

Bennett:
Looks so much bigger lately. As a baby he was a chunk, then he stretched out and evened out, now it seems like his vertical growth has slowed down again but the chunkiness is only increasing. He looks like a mini football player walking around. It's so funny to see Winnie chase him for hugs or kisses. He was in heaven while eating Emily's potatoes on Sunday and we were all laughing at how enthusiastic he was about eating them.

Conference was so great this weekend! So many historic announcements and big changes and I just left the weekend with such a strong sense of gratitude for a living prophet and a church led by Jesus Christ.

He brings his dog when we take dogs on walks. That's Delta Doggie, a stuffed dog I got in Delta, Utah when I was 2 years old. I love that my boys love it too.

Winnie and Bennett! I love watching her chase him around.

Brothers and their Easter candy. It's a good day when your sugar rush happens before 9am.

The Easter Bunny was a minimalist this year because we're still recovering from Christmas. Never again.

Couch shenanigans with daddy.

Somebody stole daddy's glasses and looks so old!

They were all sitting there watching the Priesthood session together :)
Then Westin bailed when he saw me taking a picture.

If you forget to take the core away from this kid when he's eating an apple then the whole thing just disappears...

First time wearing big boy sneakers! He fell a couple times but he's already getting the hang of them.
It's so cute to see him stomp around feeling big.

Spot the dog!

"Bennett, find your belly button!" This is the best game.

Oh we love Rosie dog.

Stumbled on this familiar scene multiple times this week. Studying is rough

The crew after story time at the library.

These two puppies were so funny together.

Easter playgroup.

Bennett has found a new way to play with the dump truck and it's his favorite.

Caught him in Buttercup's home.

He can't quite climb on the couch by himself yet but he loves to sit up there and feel big.
