Denver Museum & Camping

We played so much this week! First trip to the neighborhood pool for the big kids with Michael, and on Wednesday we went to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science for the day. We mystery shopped Texas Roadhouse on the way home. The boys loved that day and it was the first time we've skipped Camden's nap and just done an all day thing in a while.

On Friday we started prepping to head camping! Westin helped me make tin foil dinners, and breakfast burritos. He was SO excited to sleep in a tent and just be outside together. We camped up the canyon along the Poudre River and it was a lot of work and a lot of fun. I can see how it will be one of our favorite things to do when we don't have quite so little sleepers (Cam Cam...) and boys are a little bigger to help more, but it was really great already.

We also met up with friends from church at a Food Truck fest on Tuesday night. The lines were loooooong because everyone is so ready to get back outside and do fun things again. But the boys loved their corn dogs and playing on the playground with friends.

When Michael left for work Friday, he asked Westin to get some sticks together in a box outside so we could take it camping to start our fires. I think this box was full before Michael even finished his 5-minute commute. Westy boy was sooo excited to do anything to get ready to camp.

We told Westin to go get his pajamas on and he came downstairs giggling so hard after putting on Daddy's pajamas. He has slept with these pajamas for years for whatever reason and it's adorable.
