School's Out!

I can't believe it's already summer!

School years FLY by. Life feels so much faster than it used to now that my boys are in school.

All three boys had a good year in school. Camden is just itching to go to the same school as his big brothers. He still hasn't quite grasped what summer means and he thinks he's heading to kindergarten much sooner than he is, cute guy.

We went on our annual first-weekend-of-summer camping trip, and the boys loved that. This one was in Mountain Park up Poudre Canyon and it's a group of sites that are close to a playground and bathrooms and a hill to explore. We did get rained on but it wasn't too bad. We had Westin and Bennett sleep in the car with the seats laid down and they would have much preferred their 2-man tent I think. But we all slept :)

 We all loved having a chocolate chip cookie bake off with the Whitneys this week. They made us delicious pizza and ribs, and then we all made two different types of cookie dough and had a taste test. The mini levain recipe that I've been using for a lot of years won out over the new recipe we put it up against. We miss the Whitneys!

I made a dutch oven cobbler, but I prepped it ahead with a foil dutch oven insert.
I just can't bring myself to scrub out dutch ovens while camping,
but it feels like a cheating method.

Sleeping with these two cuties is the best part of camping.
Westin and Bennett have a two-man tent and they like playing games together at night.

We had dinner and a cookie bake off with the Whitneys and realized partway through the night that Rose and I were matching.

This was delicious! Cute Jane holds her own with all these boys.

I moved my big bathroom mirror down to my entryway, and moved my grandma's wicker mirror into my half bath. I love that it used to be hers.

Bathroom shopping with these guys. They're really cute assistants but also very wild.

Finishing second grade!

Can't believe he'll be heading into his last year of elementary.

And he'll be heading into his first! He's so excited to go to kindergarten.

Last day of school!

Demo day. Our closet and our bathroom is becoming one room, and we're changing where the vanity and shower and toilet is. It's going to be quite the project and summer was probably not the right time to start it, but here we go.
