Stepping into Summer

 Summer is here!

Westin and Bennett got their jobs done quickly on Monday so they could head out on a big bike ride with Clark and Levi. They loved that so much. Everyone loved the dentist on Tuesday -- pediatric dentists are a party. Westin and Bennett did swim team every morning and it was pretty chilly. They'll like it more when it warms up! They went for a second bike ride on Thursday with their friends and I think they'll going to want to do that as much as possible this summer.

We had a concert weekend, with Ryan Bingham in Loveland on Friday night and the Neon Trees at the Taste of Fort Collins festival on Saturday. I really love the music scene in this town. I just didn't expect it when we moved here and it has been the best bonus.

Asher was so brave on Saturday when we did a session at the temple and left him with his brothers at the primary daycare day. He is really not liking when we leave him (which is not uncommon for Daetwyler boys, but it is a little more intense with him and has lasted longer). Westin was a big help with the transition but it's sad to leave Asher crying at the doors.

We are verrrry into the Pacers right now and we're having so much fun watching their playoff games. The Behunins have been joining us and we're invested!

On Sunday we had a new family over who have three little boys, and it was fun to get to know them. Our little guys were teaching them a couple different games and that's such a fun part of having big kids. My little kids play so many more games than Westin and Bennett did when they were that age, because they have big brothers to watch and learn from. Westin made our dessert for the night from start to finish. The Great British Baking Show is inspiring him!

Summer is off to a good start!

I sent my two big kids off on their first solo bike ride with a packed lunch.
They went with Clark and Levi to a nearby park and they ended up seeing like four families from our ward haha. I loved getting this picture from Jamie while they were off on their first big adventure.

These boys have a good ward crew.

Camden has really loved starting karate with Bennett.

Still fits in his little dump truck!
Cracks me up how much the boys have ridden around in this thing.

Bennett has "read to Asher" on his morning to-do list and I love walking in on that scene.

Kitty will often come around for Bob book reading time because she knows it's a calm lap space.
I think it makes Camden get through a few more books than he would have without a full lap :)

Little Luna loves to hold hands.

Some serious Pokemon trading happening during the Pacers playoffs

He made this cake start to finish and decorated it all on his own!
