Happiest Halloween

Our happiest Halloween yet! We have such fun ages around here for holidays.

My golden retriever, BYU football player, Harry Potter, and Blue Angel had so much fun at their Friday parties at school. We met up with our neighbors before trick-or-treating, then the Behunins and Mays and Allemans came and joined us at our neighborhood. The boys had quite the candy haul and I feel like we just barely finished last year's... not my favorite part of Halloween.

Michael's office had some remodeling happening this week so he was home a few days, and I loved that he was home for Halloween. It's so fun to go to the school parade and to go trick-or-treating downtown. I especially love that we have four little boys right now -- they're not so little, and dangerously close to being big, but right now we have four boys who just love Halloween and all the fun it comes with and it feels like a special stage.

Goodbye yellow door!
Finally painted it black and I really love it.

Karaoke niiiiiiight, the Young Women are so fun.

Proud of my bags of leaves. Look at those!
Like little presents. Leaves are the gift that keep on giving...

Luna is here and ready for his preschool program!

New carpet in Camden and Asher's room, ready for big boy beds!
Step by step... I'm so excited to put their wallpaper up.

What a cute preschool crew. Asher has sure loved Tiny Sprouts a couple times a week.

This costume is peak Halloween for our family, I'm pretty sure.

Sweet Benny boy is stoked to be Harry Potter.

Hugging Asher in this Luna get-up is pretty dreamy.
What a cuddly guy.

Downtown trick-or-treating!

Michael's office has some remodeling happening and I love that he was home for Halloween this year.
It might be my favorite day of the year to be a stay-at-home parent.

Dude Dad is famous around here and drove his pirate ship to the school for some candy launches.

Home for more Halloween fun!

Ready to head over to our annual neighborhood Halloween potluck before trick-or-treating.

They were stoked about their twinkies.

Church cleaning the morning after Halloween is not ideal,
but hide and seek with our buddies makes it easier.

Westin's basketball team keeps going strong! Undefeated.

I'm grateful for good neighbors.
We made thank you signs for the businesses who are helping all SNAP recipients that are seeing a gap in their benefits from inept leadership. I would be struggling so much more right now if I wasn't surrounded by people who are angered by the right things and doing what they can with what they have.

We discovered a game library. Genius idea!
So fun to try a game, play it all week, then go trade it for another.

Creme Brulee for Michael's birthday tomorrow!

Ready for a birthday morning, just too bad it's a Monday morning too.

Halloween Festivities

Last weekend: a cut finger, a great football game, a cute primary talent show, a missed protest.

This week: Halloween costume try-ons, a murder mystery party, lunch with Camden at school, trunk-or-treat, Cava and a ghost tour.

Feels like October is full of exactly what it should be!

Not my favorite new accessory...
I'll never use my mandolin without protective gloves.
This was pretty minimal damage and still soo painful and made me so queasy.

Couldn't make it out to the protests because we were at a primary talent show,
but my heart was there. I'm so disappointed in our leadership.

Our tree is in its fire stage! I love this tree so much.

Primary talent show at a nursing home. The kids were so cute!

Kindergarten farm field trip

Asher discovered his Halloween costume and reallly loved it.
He told me he wanted to be Luna for Halloween and he didn't even know that Michael's aunt had sent me a golden retriever costume when we got Luna. He was just the right size for it this year and his eyes lit up when he saw the costume haha. So sweet.

Kindergarten Camden

Third Grade Bennett

Fifth Grade Westin

Asher was WILD in his Luna costume for a good chunk of the day until...

...it caught up to him. Haha such a cute scene waiting for dad when he got home.

Murder mystery night!
We were innocent.

Spooky dip for the party.

It's that time of year when I try to make the boys their yearly photo books for Christmas,
and Kitty is not helpful.

Asher and I had to try lots of grocery stores to find what we needed for homemade spring rolls. We'll see if these turn out!

Painted my mask for the murder mystery night with the help of a YouTube video.
I was an astronaut so we went galaxy-themed. It was really fun to just sit down with Michael and decorate our masks, not sure when the last time was that we did a craft together :)

Lunch with Camden this week after math volunteering.

My BYU football guy sure loved his costume this year!

Bennett is flying through the Harry Potter books and loved dressing up as him this year.

The whole mismatched crewthis year.

That post-trunk-or-treat candy trade.

Ghost tour date night downtown.
This was fascinating!
