December Kick Off

Michael:
had this weekend off and it was the first time we've all been home for a weekend in long time! He was on call before our vacation, then we were gone two weekends in a row, so it felt good to be home all together on Saturday. We went to the Grinch and put up our Christmas lights, and had pizza and new Christmas pajamas for December that night.

Maddie:
I made an advent calendar inspired by my friend Kendra to make sure we are slowing down to serve and make memories this month. I like how it turned out and it's making me feel more calm about fitting in all the things we want to this month.

Westin:
went to a birthday party Friday and he had a really good week at preschool. On Tuesday he got to bring donuts for his birthday, and Thursday his teacher said he was super happy and had a great day at school that day. He loves our Christmas decorations and has been so excited to put lights on our house.

Bennett:
is such a funny little dude. He loves wearing hats and one day wore a Santa hat that he found for almost the entire day, with a Mickey backpack from our pullups box on his back. He's just happy. And he loves the Christmas tree and knows he isn't supposed to touch the ornaments, so he will bring one to us and say, "Sorry dada." At least he knows he did a bad thing, he just couldn't resist doing it haha. Christmas with these ages is going to be so fun this month!

Bennett puts the rubber band balloon handle around his head and wears this like a hat.
He loves it and I just laugh every time I see him do it.
Birthday donuts!

Poured rain while we put up Christmas decorations.
At one point I saw Bennett drinking from the ditch like a dog. Kids are gross.

Movie time! They both watched the whole thing completely happy.
Though they did both scoot back too much at one point and each got smashed by their seat, haha.

Dragons Love Tacos is Westin's current favorite book.

Nightly Devotional from our Advent Calendar

Every red paper is a fun thing to do that day for December.
Every green paper is a devotional about the life of Christ that we do each night at prayer time.

Our fun checklist!

Crazies

I'm so lucky. It's so hard too, but I know I'm lucky.

I gave the boys dinner then went to lay down because I was exhausted. Bennett finished up his dinner, and came and laid right next to me on the couch and started chatting. He's such a sweetie.

Happy birthday Ethan!

Shopping date with Bennett and In & Out while Westin was at his party. He just chatted away while eating this hamburger and multiple people were just giggling at his cute little self.

The Santa hat and Mickey backpack combo.

He chose to eat his sucker by the Christmas tree.

One Halloween candy a day and it still feels like we're not making a dent.

Christmas is up!

Bennett wasn't dressed for playing in the rain!
We're slowly starting a band around here.

Mornings with Mommy always has the cutest, simplest activity ideas. Bennett loved this for about 20 minutes.

Bennett loves Kitty with all his heart.
