Our Camden boy is 3! Sweet Cam Cam.
So often on birthdays I have this overwhelming feeling of, "I can't believe they're this old!" But honestly, Camden has been ready to be 3 for so long. He's rocked potty training since the month he turned 2. He flies on his balance bike. He can count so well. He loves to do whatever his brothers do. He has a killer memory. His love for cars and trucks and all things automobiles knows no limits. He is the SWEETEST big brother to Asher, has never had one second of ill will toward his baby brother or about us bringing him home. He goes into nursery now without crying, though that took a long while to get down :) He has some definite food preferences but understands the try every color drill. He just really fits 3.
He loved getting a gardening set from Grandma and Grandpa Daetwyler, and Grandma and Grandpa Miner sent him a fun dry erase coloring book. We gave him a waffle maker that turns the waffles into little cars and he was thrilled about it. We had a few families over on Friday night to grill food and blow out candles with Camden. He blew them out before we started singing hehe :) It was fun to be with the Allemans, Baileys, Behunins, and some of the McFarlands. Little boys are wild animals.
I sure love being Camden's mom. He is Michael's shadow still and has the cutest little voice and silliest little sayings. He's a joy and so funny and I'm happy he'll be home with me this fall. I just love this little guy!
We also had fun at our stake Pioneer Day activity this weekend. It rained right before and right after, but we had three hours of nice cloudy cooler weather for the activity. Our ward won the tug-o-war championship and Bennett felt pretty big about being involved. Westin and Bennett played played played the whole time we were there and every time I looked over to check on them they were just wrestling with boys I don't know and chasing other kids and I just, kids really are wild animals. I think I already said that. They're just getting wilder with age :)
We're soaking up this slower part of summer! Not ready for it to be over and grateful we have a few more weeks.
