Aspen

We were sad to say goodbye to the Miners. It was so fun having them here last week. 

This week we said goodbye to Luna girl for a month. She's a sweet dog and has learned commands really well, but needs a lot of work in just down time behavior and especially leash training. We're hoping this month is really good for us all!

Westin continued with swim this week, with an attitude change thanks to a distance goal sheet full of checkboxes, broken into three tiers of goals this summer. He's driven by certain things and shuts down with certain things, which I guess we all are... but it can be pretty miserable until he finds the right motivation to tap into for something he's gotta conquer. We're proud of him for doing this really new thing. He totally loved his one-week football camp this week. In fact we were supposed to leave on Thursday to tag along with Michael to his conference in Aspen, but the boys and I ended up coming Friday so that he could go to his last day.

Thursday night Westin and I stayed up and watched Harry Potter 4 since we just finished the book a couple weeks ago. I really hate those movies... he was pretty disappointed in it, too, but it's fun to watch after finishing the book.

We packed up for an Aspen (plus Utah after) trip and met Michael at his ADA conference. Aspen is way too fancy for our crew but such a beautiful area and fun to see. We have quite the bucket list of Colorado spots to explore. 

Aspen highlights: Snowmass gondola rides, soccer by the restaurants, NBA finals, Camden's cute hotel crib, make-your-own pizza kids meals, Maroon Bells hike, Aspen gondola ride, swimming, grocery store dinner shopping, and counting lots of deer.

We stayed in the Snowmass area and went close by to Aspen a few times.

Obsessed with how he loves to say "cheese" for pictures now and has a huge smile.
