Camden is FOUR

We had a birthday week over here and it pretty much broke my heart!

Two- and Three-Year-Old Camden will forever be one of the most joyful experiences of my life. He was so fun and goofy and sweet. The last couple months has been a lot of him finding his own opinions and voice (and sass) haha, and it's fair, but we're just sad to let this little toddler go! He's getting bigger and we love him, so so soooo much.

I love that Camden still says "to-later" for anything in the future. If we can't do something when he asks, he'll always ask if we can do it to-later, which just means sometime in the future -- so of course we say yes and he's immediately just fine with that. We have a lot of to-laters stacking up. I love that he's always the first one up and comes to give Michael and me the biggest hugs while we're exercising. He asks a thousand questions at bedtime and sleeps with a thousand cars, gives me a thousand hugs during the day while saying "I needed that!" and would eat a thousand z bars a day if I let him. He loves our walks every day and absolutely cruises on his balance bike. He's been a wonderful big brother to Asher from day one and is thrilled whenever Asher will give him a hug. He shares with him with no second thoughts, tries to make him happy when he cries, and looks for things that he'll like to play with all the time. Camden loves pizza, and caesar salad, any treat, and chooses granola for breakfast more than anything else. He's excited when he starts to like a new food that he used to not like, lately olives and potatoes. "I like them now! That's good, right?!" He absolutely loves going to Luna's training classes and holding her leash and being in charge of her. He's such a happy little guy and we LOVE HIM SO MUCH.

He got some Nugget furniture for the basement and has totally loved it. We spent his birthday going to the river with Asher to a city-led "wade the river" program where we learned about microscopic bugs and found some to study. Then I went on a little brunch date with him. That night we went to Fly High as a family and had pizza and cake for dinner. His birthday cake was so funny -- I had all the supplies to make his requested "sprinkle cake!" but we did a Costco run the day before his birthday. When we walked by all the birthday cakes me asked me what they said. I told him they all said Happy Birthday and he said, "Wait.... it's almost MY birthday!" You could see his little wheels turning, like, "Wait a minute... I qualify for one of these!" Haha so he picked out a chocolate one with frosted candles on it and was so excited to show it to his brothers.

Westin and Bennett did a camp at Colorado State this week. They were gone 8-4 and really loved swimming, playing games, going to the city park pool for a full day, and being with some friends from the ward all day every day. They've had a packed summer but they have loved it. On Friday we spent our date night buying a new car! It came home to our garage and we haven't driven it yet, haha. We need to figure out where the Honda is going first and then we'll move in to the new Carnival. And Saturday we went to our annual stake pioneer day party after spending the full day taking apart our bed, putting it back together downstairs, putting together a sectional, and taking all the boxes to recycling. The boys were very sad to not get to keep all that cardboard :) Sunday we had the Behunins over for dinner, and later that night I went on a long walk with Westin and Luna. One-on-one time is good for everybody.

Summer is flying by!

Hit up a new trail for our daily walk. I love the walking paths here.

Ready for the birthday boy!

It's a late pre-birthday night when birthday boy requests cinnamon rolls for breakfast.
He was such a cutie waking up to balloons and presents and a yummy breakfast.

Birthday breakfast!

Looking so big! You kept standing up straight and asking me to look at how big you were :)

Off to wade the river! So many mosquitos this year!

They hug good night lately and it melts me.

The boys are working hard learning how to be in charge of Luna. She's 9 months old now, still very puppy, but learning a lot and so are we.

We drove home from Luna's class and she found a nice spot for her :) Daddy and Asher were at home, so she took advantage of the empty car seat. It was cracking us up.

Moving into the basement! We moved our bed downstairs to the guest room.

Cute little helpers.

King bed in our room now! I'm excited for some bigger sleeping space.

Stake Pioneer Day party

Bennett did the pie eating contest but he just ate it slowly and used his hands.
I think he was just taking full advantage of the situation, haha.
