Birthday Nights

We had a busy December week but a strangely empty weekend, so we ended up making good on our promise of birthday hotel nights. The boys can choose a hotel nigh with a parent or a birthday party, and both chose a hotel night but October and November were so busy. So we made it happen this weeend.

I spent Friday night with Bennett, we all swam as a family on Saturday, then Michael spent Saturday night with Westin. Bennett wanted to go to a pizza restaurant, then to pick out a present for his secret brother (we had them draw names this year), then to the hotel to play games, read books, and watch a movie. We all went to Camden's preschool program that next morning together, and his little Wise Man debut was the cutest thing. Then we all went swimming together that afternoon and had hot chocolate in the lobby, then I took the younger 3 home. Michael and Westin went out for Mexican food and then hung out at the hotel together. Both Westin and Bennett were big fans of the big hotel breakfast.

It's really fun to be one on one with these cute boys. They are growing and thinking and learning and trying and I love them so much. They're just so good inside. I slept terribly in the hotel and that has me feeling very old. But it was a good weekend of some different types of family time, although after a busy Sunday I ended the weekend feeling like I didn't even see Michael. But he'll be my date next weekend :)

Breakfast chats.

When you get a new car and then back into your garage while it's opening for the first time in your life...
Ha.
Car looks fine and Michael pounded most of the garage dent out. But I was annoyed. :)

One of my favorite things in life is asking a two-year-old to find their belly button when it's buried in their cute chubby rolls.

We all opened new Christmas jammies right before the Christmas devotional and Asher screamed whenever we came near him with a package, so, there it sits.
Maybe I don't need to get him anything for Christmas after all,
but I think it's the fever talking :)

My Christmas card helper. He loved this!

Library look out

Camden's preschool has a tree with kiddo pictures as ornaments from past years and it's so cute.
He loved making this and hanging it up.

Lunch chats.

Kitty finally loves her bed,
but everyone loves finding Kitty in her bed.
So maybe it will fade.

Birthday night with Benny boy!
We went to a build your own pizza place, played Cover Your Assets and read books, watched a movie, had a breakfast date, and then went to Camden's preschool program.

He ate every bit of that.
Yummy hotel breakfasts are well loved in our house haha.

Spot my little Wise Man!

He was such a cutie.

Family swim time between birthday dates

Family hot chocolate time before we left Michael and Westin for their birthday dinner and date night.

I put the other three kids to bed then got our 12 days of Christmas assembled.
The boys are going to have fun being sneaky for a couple of sweet older sisters in our ward.
We did a Names of Christ 12 days of Christmas and it made the cute little punny gifts fun.

Aunt Shelley sent Camden one of her favorite books and the boys are loving it.

One year with our Luna girl!
I can't believe how much she has grown in one year, in all the ways.
Puppies are INSANE. Puppies are insane. Very cute. Very insane.
I love 14-month-old Luna so much.
